Downers Grove 7-Eleven Robbed At Gunpoint

Police say two men robbed a Downers Grove 7-Eleven at gunpoint late Sunday.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two men robbed a Downers Grove 7-Eleven at gunpoint late Sunday. The incident took place at approximately 11:40 p.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 6301 Main Street, according to police.

Police say two men, one of whom was displaying a handgun, came into the store and demanded cash from the register. The men then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Downers Grove police spokesperson Bill Budds told Patch via email that the men were last seen in the area on foot.

Two suspects also robbed a Naperville liquor store at gunpoint earlier Sunday night. Authorities believe the same suspects could have robbed the Downers Grove 7-Eleven, according to Naperville Police Department spokesperson Michaus Williams
