Downers Grove Farmers Market Returns For 2021 Season

The farmers market, which will be an "in-and-out market" due to coronavirus, reopens Saturday.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downtown Downers Grove Farmers Market is set to return in 2021, but with a slightly different format, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As in 2020, the farmers market will be an "in-and-out market," meaning shoppers will be encouraged to purchase their items and leave efficiently.

The market will feature around 30 vendors and will be held rain or shine on Saturdays at Downers Grove Main Street Station, 5001 Main St., starting May 8. The hours are 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Food samples will not be permitted and shoppers will be required to wear face masks.

Part of the proceeds of the Downtown Downers Grove Farmers Market will benefit Indian Boundary YMCA's scholarship fund, which helps families get access YMCA services.
