Downers Grove Library Introduces New Batch of 'Bookologists'

The book experts are on hand to talk about recommendations and will be at a special book fair Dec. 4.

Bookology — the science of good books — is the Downer’s Grove Public Library’s newest reader advisory service. Now in the second year of the program, DGPL stated in a release, the library has a new batch of expert staff Bookologists on hand and it’s time for a book fair.

Last year’s Bookology Fair, which was also the first, drew 300 people. At the fair, Bookologists shared their favorite reads with the community and handed out free adult titles to attendees. This year the fair is more family-oriented — Bookologists will also pick favorite children’s titles, which will be up for grabs alongside adult-level books.

The Bookology Fair will take place Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1-3 p.m. in the first floor lobby of the Downers Grove Public Library.
