Downers Grove Museum Tackles Family Genealogy Research

Residents are invited to learn the basics of researching family history from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Downers Grove Park District will host a class on the basics of family genealogy research Saturday.

The seminar will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Downers Grove Park District Museum, 831 Maple Ave.

Topics covered will include where to start, how to organize your data, helpful hints and common pitfalls, discussion of free research resources available to researchers and an overview of resources available for purchase to researchers.

The fee is $12 for residents and $18 for non-residents. Register today at www.dgparks.org.
