Downers Grove OKs Belmont Bible Church Redevelopment: Report

The redevelopment includes a building that would house a church space and classrooms.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove village council has approved redevelopment plans for Belmont Bible Church, according to Suburban Life. The plans include building a space to accommodate a new church and school at the intersection of Belmont Road and Inverness Avenue.

The project got the go-ahead to move forward at the Jan. 12 council meeting.

A two-story, 32,573-square foot space will include a space for religious gatherings, in addition to preschool to high school classrooms and offices. The church also plans to remove a honey locust tree on Inverness Avenue in addition to adding more trees and rebuilding a sidewalk.
