Downers Grove South Gymnasts Win Gold At Division Conference
The girls varsity gymnastics team won gold at the West Suburban Conference Gold Division meet on Saturday.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove South girls gymnastics team took top honors at the West Suburban Conference Gold Division meet Saturday. The varsity team earned gold, with team members taking home individual awards as well.
Abby Carlson emerged as conference champion in the floor routine and all-around competitions. Her teammate, Andrea Davenport, won the conference balance beam event.
The varsity team is made up of seniors Genevieve Klamer, Trudy Davis, and Lindsay Tom, juniors Carlson, Davenport, and Gianna Grippo, and freshmen Lauryn Mobley and Melina Pipilas.
