Downers Grove volleyball star to play for defending NCAA champ Loyola

Will Tischler, a 6-7 outside hitter for Downers Grove South’s volleyball team, will have a chance at an NCAA championship ring when he begins playing volleyball for Chicago’s Loyola University next year, according to a Chicago Tribune article.

Tischler was all set to be a turnaround artist for California Baptist University, which was 6-22 last season and 4-23 the year before, when he learned the coach resigned, according to the Tribune. The school let him out of his commitment and he started looking. He chose the two-time national champion Loyola with an invitation in his own back yard.
