Downers Grove Votes To Permit Cannabis Sales: Report

The village board voted Tuesday in favor of permitting medical and recreational cannabis businesses.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove village board has voted in favor of three ordinances that will permit the sale of cannabis within village limits. The decision was made at Tuesday's village board meeting, according to Suburban Life.

Mayor Bob Barnett, along with village commissioners Greg Hose, Leslie Sadowski-Fugitt and Rich Kulovany voted in favor of the measures.

Commissioners Marge Earl, Cavanaugh Gray and Nicole Walus voted against the measures.

The ordinances will permit as many as three cannabis dispensaries within the village, along with craft growers, cultivation centers and other businesses.
