Downers Grove Woman Accused Of Embezzling From Hinsdale Company

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Downers Grove women faces felony charges after police say she embezzled thousands of dollars from a real estate agency in Hinsdale.

Wanda L. Bickerstaff, 62, of the 1100 block of Saylor Street, was charged with theft in connection with the incident. Bickerstaff is accused of embezzling more than $10,000 from Chris Crawford Ltd, formerly of 22 W. First St., between Jan. 2015 and March 2018, according to a report from the Hinsdale Police Department.

A warrant for Bickestaff's arrest was issued April 20, and she was taken into custody April 28.
