WOODRIDGE, IL — A Woodridge resident awoke Thursday to find a fire in their home in the 6700 block of Foxtree Avenue, fire officials say.

Firefighters were called to the home just after 7:45 a.m. and encountered fire and heavy smoke coming from the back and rooftop of the two-story residence. Fire crews located the blaze in the home's second floor and attic and were able to contain the flames within 20 minutes.
