For people looking to change careers, earn some extra income or take advantage of the booming rental market, the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® (MORe) is offering a Leasing Agent Licensing Course from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 25.
Leasing Agents help show and rent residential property, negotiate leases and otherwise work on behalf of landlords. The class will prepare prospective leasing agents to successfully pass the state exam and fulfill the 15-hour educational requirement, as well as give them skills they will need to succeed in their new career.
The course, which costs $195 per participant, will be held at MORe’s headquarters at 6655 Main St., Downers Grove. To earn a Leasing Agent License from the state of Illinois, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), be at least 18 years of age and pass the state licensing exam after completing the 15-hour Leasing Agent Licensing Course.
