'Evan's Elves' Donates Holiday Gifts In Teen's Memory: Report
The initiative to help local families in need was started by friends of Evan Melau, who was hit and killed by a car in June.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — This holiday season, friends of Evan Melau, who was hit and killed by a car while riding his bike in June, are using the 15-year-old's memory to inspire some holiday cheer, according to Suburban Life.
Melau's friends created Evan's Elves, an initiative to provide gifts to families in need at the schools Melau attended. So far, Evan's Elves has donated more than $3,000 in gift cards to families this holiday season.
