Families Invited to Second Crosstown Classic Basketball Game
Proceeds will benefit Herrick's PTA & Bloom's Angels and help Herrick students in need.

Downers Grove, IL - Downers Grove Grade School District 58 invites families to the second game of the new Crosstown Classic basketball series. The series offers families a great opportunity to cheer on their favorite middle school basketball team while giving back to the community.
The series continues with the Herrick girls’ basketball team taking on the O’Neill girls’ team at Downers Grove North on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016. Seventh grade will play at 6:30 p.m., and eighth grade will play at 7:45 p.m.

The Crosstown Classic will feature a half-time contest, DGN and Herrick band performances, raffle prizes, giveaways and concessions. Raffle prizes include two Blackhawks jerseys signed by Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews; four Bulls tickets; and dinner and an overnight stay at the Intercontinental Hotel - Chicago. Raffle tickets are $5.
Proceeds from the Feb. 27 game will benefit the Herrick PTA and Bloom’s Angels, an organization that supports Herrick families in need.

Admission is $5/person or $15/family. Families may purchase tickets at the door or during parent-teacher conferences on Feb. 10 and 11.
“This truly is a great event for our community, so feel free to bring your family, friends and neighbors,” said Gail Pistello, Herrick teacher and Bloom’s Angels co-founder and coordinator. “Come and enjoy the games, the school bands, the concessions and the prizes all while helping a great cause.”
