Gunshots Heard on Oakwood Avenue Tuesday Night: Downers Grove Police
No one was injured in the altercation.

After Downers Grove police responded to reports of gunshots heard on Oakwood Avenue Tuesday night, Chief Kurt Bluder is saying there isn’t any threat to the general public.
Officers arrived at 4435 Oakwood Ave. at 7:58 p.m., according to a release. The people who fired the shots weren’t in the house by the time police got there.
The pair that had been involved in the altercation reportedly knew each other and got into a physical fight on Tuesday, which led to shots being fired, police said. No one was hurt.

Bluder said that since the incident wasn’t random, there doesn’t appear to be any threat to the greater Downers Grove community.
