House Peered Into, Car Burglarized In Downers Grove: Police

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was burglarized, and a person was seen peering into the window of a home in Downers Grove, according to police reports from the week of May 31.

Criminal Trespass to Property in 4900 block of Seeley Avenue

A resident told police that on May 31, they saw a man looking into one of their house's rear windows. They told police it seemed as though the person, who was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, was walking west from their backyard and paused to look in at them through the window. The incident took place just after 10 p.m., according to a police report.

Car Burglarized in 6500 block of Woodward Avenue

Police say a laptop was stolen from a resident's car at the above location. The incident took place sometime between 11 p.m. May 7 and 10 a.m. on May 8, but was not reported until May 28, police say.
