Apple products are getting stolen left and right in Downers Grove this summer. Here's a recap of the latest incidents: 

TUESDAY, JULY 23

Purse with iPhone Inside Taken

A woman's $20 red handheld purse was taken off a bench on the north side of Prince Pond. The incident occurred sometime between 4:20 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on the 1200 block of Franklin when she walked away from the bench to watch her kids play, according to a report. The purse contained a $300 white iPhone 4S, three credit and debit cards, her license and keys to her vehicle. She attempted to call her cell phone but it was already turned off, rendering any GPS location service useless, the report said.

SUNDAY, JULY 21

Grass-Covered iPhone Missing

A man's $250 black iPhone 4S was stolen from McCollum Park while he played basketball. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on the 6800 block of Main Street, according to a report. The man said he left the phone on the side of the basketball court covered in grass. The phone has a black otter cover with a crack in it.

FRIDAY, JULY 19

iPod Taken From Car 

A woman on this day realized her white $300 iPod was missing from her vehicle on the 5300 block of Florence Avenue. The incident possibly occurred after 5 p.m. July 12 when she last saw it, according to a report. The woman said she left her vehicle unlocked several times over the last week. There were no pry marks or signs of forced entry on the vehicle, and nothing else was missing. 

TUESDAY, JULY 16

iPod Nano Taken From Car

A man's $150 iPod Nano was taken from his vehicle on the 400 block of Indianapolis Avenue. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. July 15 and 8 a.m. July 16. During the same time period, someone appeared to have entered his mother's car, which was also parked outside on Indianapolis Avenue, according to a report.

MONDAY, JULY 15

iPhone Swiped in Store

A man's black $649 iPhone 5 was reported stolen while he was shopping. The incident occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the 2900 block of Highland Avenue, according to a report. He saw a small black phone case with red trim on a shelf and thought it looked similar to the one that holds his phone. He then checked his cart and realized it was missing from the upper part where he had it. He opened the case, and the phone was gone.
