Kingsley School Seeks Alumni, Retirees for 50th Anniversary Bash
The Downers Grove elementary school will host an anniversary re-dedication event on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Kingsley Elementary School in Downers Grove is seeking alumni and retirees to participate in its 50th anniversary rededication event.
The school, located 6509 Powell St., opened its doors on Sept. 3, 1963, and the school hosted a dedication ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 24, 1963. In a coincidence that was just too good for the planning committee to pass up, Nov. 24 happens to be on a Sunday—making it the perfect day to host a 50th anniversary celebration.
Organizers are seeking former students, parents and staff to attend the event, which will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and to send pictures from their time at the school.Â
To RSVP for the event and/or to send a photo, contact Principal Mark Stange, mstange@dg58.org, or secretary Diane Glowicki, dglowicki@dg58.org.Â
