Liquor Stolen, Car Burglarized In Downers Grove: Police

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Alcohol was stolen from Binny's, a car was burglarized at Dollar General, and other incidents were reported on the Downers Grove Police Department's blotter for early June 2021.

Retail Theft at Binny's Beverage Depot, 2020 Butterfield Rd.

Police say two women stole two bottles of Hennessy V.S.O.P. from Binny's Beverage Depot, located at 2020 Butterfield Rd. The incident took place just after 6 p.m. on June 7.

Bike Stolen from Jewel, 1148 Ogden Ave.

A slate gray Specialized Rockhopper bicycle was stolen from outside the Jewel at 1148 Ogden Ave. on June 10, just after 8 p.m. The victim told police that their bike lock had been cut and the bike had been stolen while they were inside the store.

Car Burglarized at Dollar General, 417 63rd St.

A shopper told police her purse was stolen from her unlocked car while it was parked at Dollar General, 417 63rd St. around 10:30 a.m. on June 10.
