Mama Dog Found Lying In Snow Near Shelter In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL --- The West Suburban Humane Society is asking for help locating the owners of a dog who was found lying in the snow on Stonewall Avenue. According to a Facebook post, the dog was found wearing a person's green sweatshirt and appeared to have recently given birth.

The mama dog was reportedly found between Grant and Prairie near the animal shelter Monday afternoon following a night of heavy snowfall. The hope is to reunite her with her puppies and family as soon as possible.

Officials at West Suburban Humane Society are asking anyone with information about this dog to call them at 630-960-9600, extension 0. They encourage callers to leave a voicemail with contact information and say they will return the call promptly.
