Man Exposes Self To Pedestrian In Downers Grove: Cops

Police say the incident took place Friday evening near Washington Park.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Police Department has increased patrols near Washington Park after receiving a report that a man exposed himself to a pedestrian in the area Friday evening. The incident took place just after 5:30 p.m., according to an update from village officials.

Police say the man was in an older-model white sedan heading northbound on Elm Street near Franklin Street when he pulled up alongside a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk and exposed himself. The man did not get out of the car or speak with the pedestrian, police say. The man then drove off and was last seen continuing northbound on Elm Street past Franklin.

Detailed descriptions of the suspect and vehicle were not available as of Monday morning. Downers Grove police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for additional information Monday morning.
