In Memory Of Tracie Borfitz Catino, 52

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Tracie Borfitz Catino, 52, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in Westmont, IL. She was born November 27, 1966, the daughter of Cheryl Dinkins and Bill Borfitz. She grew up on Long Island, NY, and moved to Chicago, IL, as a young girl. She met the love of her life, Charles A. Catino, to whom she was married for 33 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by: her two daughters, Allison Catino and Charlie Curran (Matthew); her father, Bill Borfitz (Mary); her brother, Joseph Borfitz (Jaime); and her sisters, Billie Hawkins (David), Ryan Borucki (Robert), Jennifer Dinkins, and Carla Owens. Also cherishing her memory are her three grandsons.

Her greatest joy in life came from her close family, her two beloved dogs, and spending every waking moment with her grandsons. Her daughters and grandsons were her world. It was important to her to pass on a tradition she learned from her grandmother, Katherine Borfitz, of singing and telling her precious children and grandsons, “You are my Sunshine”.

In lieu of flowers it was Mrs. Catino’s wish for memorial donations to be made to your local Humane Society.

The Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church Westmont, IL Friday February 1, 2019 at 11am, followed by a private lunch for close friends and family.
