New Coronavirus Cases Up By 2 Percent In Downers Grove
Since March 2020, Downers Grove has seen 3,816 confirmed coronavirus cases, according to DuPage County Health Department.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 78 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This week's increase is greater than last week's, which showed a rise of 62 cases.
As of March 30, the village had reported 3,738 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 3,816 as of April 7, reflecting a rise of just over two percent. The previous week's increase was 1.7 percent.
DCHD recently began sharing the number of probable coronavirus cases in each municipality. Whereas the graph on DCHD's website includes probable cases, using the site's search bar yields a breakdown of probable and confirmed cases.

In Downers Grove, there have been 510 probable coronavirus cases. Including probable cases, the total coronavirus case count for Downers Grove is at 4,326.

As of March 30, there had been 1,916 cases reported in Westmont. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of April 7 was 1,945, which reflects an increase of just over 1.5 percent. Last week's increase was just under 1.9 percent.
