New Weekly Coronavirus Cases Stay Steady In Downers Grove
Since March 2020, Downers Grove has seen 3,676 confirmed coronavirus cases, according to DuPage County Health Department.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 68 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This week's increase has stayed steady compared to last week, which showed a rise of 69 cases.
As of March 16, the village had reported 3,608 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 3,676 as of March 23, reflecting a rise of 1.9 percent. The previous week's increase was also 1.9 percent.
DCHD recently began sharing the number of probable coronavirus cases in each municipality. Whereas the graph on DCHD's website includes probable cases, using the site's search bar yields a breakdown of probable and confirmed cases.

In Downers Grove, there have been 479 probable coronavirus cases. Including probable cases, the total coronavirus case count for Downers Grove is at 4,155.

As of March 16, there had been 1,863 cases reported in Westmont. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of March 23 was 1,881, which reflects an increase of just under 1 percent. Last week's increase was 1.4 percent.
In Westmont, there have been 141 probable coronavirus cases since March 2020, according to county health records. With probable cases included, the total case count for Westmont is 2,022.

The risk of transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
