Earl L. Fromm Sr.
Age 77, of Channahon, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Earl was born in Roscomb Manor Township, PA, he was a long time Channahon area resident. He was a retired lineman with the IBEW Local #196 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #826. Earl thoroughly enjoyed woodworking. Earl took great pride in helping people, and was admired for the way he always gave of himself. He was an animal lover and was kind to all of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel (nee Barlet) Fromm; one son, Curtis J. Fromm; one brother, Dennis Fromm; and two sisters, Diane Dahlgren and Carol Ann Fromm.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Ann (nee Barron) Fromm; son, Earl L. (Sue, nee Straka) Fromm, Jr. of Carol Stream; daughter, Suzette (Max) Reed of Downers Grove; four grandchildren, Brooke, Jared, and Chase Fromm; and Brielle Reed, and two step grandchildren, Andrew and Nicole Casner. He is also survived by Blair Shriver, whom he treated like a son; many dear friends including, James and Doris Anderson of Channahon, Eddie Gannon of Joliet, Smiley Konjevich of Channahon, Don and Ruth Pashuta of Shorewood, Burdet and Claudia Reider of Shorewood.

Visitation for Earl L. Fromm Sr. will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet from 6 – 8 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing will be observed and a maximum of 10 guests are allowed at one time. Funeral services will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Alicia Adaco will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
