Outback Steakhouse Now Open In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The wait is over for Downers Grove diners who've been eager to try out the village's new Outback Steakhouse. The restaurant, which is located 2970 Finley Rd., celebrated it grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.

Downers Grove Mayor Martin Tully said in a Facebook post that the new Outback Steakhouse is the first in the area in more than a decade. Tully also praised the restaurant owners for a partnership that benefits Divehart, a non-profit that provides SCUBA training for people with disabilities.

Diners can feast on the restaurant's famous Aussie-inspired fare, including Victoria's Filet® Mignon with bottomless shrimp, wood-fired salmon, and, of course, the beloved Bloomin' Onion® without having to leave town. The next closest Outback Steakhouse is located in Naperville.
