DOWNERS GROVE, IL — "Hamilton" fan can belt out their renditions of tunes from the popular musical at an upcoming outdoor singalong in Fishel Park. The "Hamiltunes" event will take place Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. and singers are being sought to perform various numbers.
Even if you're never heard a song from "Hamilton," you can still have fun at "Hamiltunes," as the lyrics will be made available to give singers a hand. Those who attend are encouraged to bring snacks and enter a raffle for a chance to win tickets to Chicago's "Hamilton Exhibition."
Residents whom the stage bug has bitten can sign up to perform select songs. Click the link if you're interested in being part of the cast for "Hamiltunes." The application deadline is July 24 and roles will be announced on July 29.
