Plows Continue To Tackle Snow As Street Parking Banned In Aurora
Crews are working around the clock to keep the roads safe.

AURORA, IL — Crews in Aurora are working "around the clock" to plow snow and salt streets as the winter storm warning continues. The city has also put a street parking ban into effect to permit safe clearing of the streets.
Aurora officials say a full fleet of plows and trucks are working in 12 hour shifts to mitigate the snow accumulation and to keep the roads clear as more snow is expected throughout the weekend. Contractors have been deployed to manage the snow on residential streets while the Aurora Snow Crew is handling primary routes, according to a press release.
Aurora has also enforced its snowfall parking ordinance, which prohibits drivers from parking on city streets and alleyways after two inches of snow accumulation.

The city advises residents to postpone unnecessary driving. If you must drive, Aurora officials say to use extreme caution and to leave a clearance of at least 75 feet behind snow plows.
