Police Investigate Death of Man Found in Oak Brook Hotel

OAK BROOK, IL — Oak Brook police are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive Monday morning in a hotel room.

Oak Brook police and fire crews were called around 5:40 a.m. Aug. 15 to the hotel in the 2800 block of Jorie Boulevard, according to Oak Brook police.

Emergency personnel immediately began CPR on the man, who has been identified as Zachary Giebel, 25 of Pell Lake in Wisconsin.

Giebel was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police reported.

Police are working with the DuPage County Coroner's Office to investigate the cause of death.
