Railroad Construction To Close Part Of Fairview Avenue

Crews will be replacing sections of the railroad track, so the crossing will be closed.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Part of Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove will be closed temporarily as crews perform work on the railroad crossing.

The work, which involves replacing railroad tracks and roadway panels, is slated to start May 20. Fairview Avenue will be closed in both directions for approximately 11 days, according to a news release.

It's anticipated that the crossing will be open again by Memorial Day.
