DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Movie goers will have to wait a little longer before they can watch a flick at Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove. The theater announced Tuesday on its social media page that it would not reopen by Thanksgiving as the newest James Bond movie has been rescheduled for a 2021 release.

Instead, the theater aims to reopen in December to show Wonder Woman 1984 if the movie keeps its Christmas 2020 release date.

Like most movie theaters across the country, Tivoli Theatre closed in March amid the coronavirus pandemic. Initially, Tivoli was set to reopen in June, but changed directions, citing that "the 50-person capacity limitation for the Tivoli is lower than the 25% capacity we had previously discussed with the state."
