DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The West Suburban Community Pantry has joined forces with DuPage Children's Museum to host a summer toy drive to benefit children in need. The toy drive will be held on July 15 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of DuPage Children's Museum, 301 N. Washington St., Naperville.

West Suburban Community Pantry Executive Director Laura Traut-Coyle said in a statement, "We have seen a huge jump in the number of families seeking support from the Pantry since the pandemic began. Families, who are suddenly out of work, struggling to receive unemployment benefits, are dealing with enormous stresses at this time. Providing quality play time and appropriate toys for their children can be an additional stressor. We know all parents understand the critical value of healthy play, so we are appealing to the community to help support these parents at this difficult time. We are so grateful to the Museum for leading the way."

To make a donation on July 15, enter the museum via Washington Street and volunteers will guide you to the donation stations. The DuPage Children's Museum's Explorer Store will have a tent on-site with additional toy bundles for purchase. Masks are required to shop in the store's tent.
