West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) has launched a $250,000 Go Fund Me public campaign http://bit.ly/WSHSneedsyou to help in the final phase of its capital campaign to build a new animal shelter in Downers Grove.

The Go Fund Me phase of the WSHS’s public fundraising efforts will further drive the project forward, allowing the organization to move out of a deteriorating building and into an efficient shelter designed to provide dignity and safety for the animals while also attracting more visitors for adoption and public education. With the support of the surrounding community, WSHS will continue to provide extraordinary services within a welcoming atmosphere for animals, adopters, visitors, and volunteers alike. The new 8,300 square-foot-facility will be built adjacent to the current shelter on land the organization already owns. Groundbreaking for the new building is slated for mid-May.
