Westmont Man Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography: Cops

WESTMONT, IL — A Westmont man faces child pornography charges after police say he was caught with child pornography videos. Steven Kuchan, 39, of the first block of West Oakley Drive, Westmont, was arrested Thursday after an undercover online investigation.

Police issued a search warrant and say they found "several child pornography files" on Kuchan's computer.

Kuchan is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 9.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the work of our digital forensic investigators and the work they do
to secure rock-solid cases against these suspects,” Sheriff James Mendrick said in a news release. Mendrick added, “However, it is disheartening that there are so many of these types of cases throughout the county to keep them busy.”
