When you need something done, ask a Boy Scout
Food Drive for Downers Grove Area FISH Food Pantry and Clothes Closet

If you need something done, ask a Boy Scout. Sunday the Scouts and their Scoutmasters delivered 200 bags of food to the Downers Grove Area FISH Food Pantry and Clothes Closet.
The 30 Scouts, from Troop 80 located at American Legion Post 80, each delivered grocery bags to neighboring homes requesting food donations. Generous neighbors filled them and the Scouts picked them up Sunday and brought them to the pantry. Shaun Larkin, the Assistant Scoutmaster, organized the food drive for the troop with the eager assistance of the Scouts.
Families in need in the towns of Downers Grove, Westmont and Lisle served by the pantry will be able to receive approximately 40 pounds of food twice a month through the holidays and into next year because of generous donors like the Scouts from Troop 80. Our thanks to them, their scoutmaster and families.
