Be Reconciled, Easter at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church

Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee announces its Lent and Easter schedules
for Be Reconciled Day, Palm Sunday, Easter Holy Week services, and Easter Mass.

Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday during Lent in person and live-streamed online at 7:00pm.

In addition, the Catholic Diocese of Rockford is again inviting Catholics to come to confession during the “Be Reconciled” day of Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 9:00am to 7:00pm at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Weekly confession times will be held per the regular schedule on Tuesday/Thursday from 7:15-7:45am; Wednesday from 5:00-6:00pm; and Saturday at 8:30am until all are heard.

“Let us gather together in gratitude and hope during this Easter season and the celebration of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday to profess our faith and strengthen our families, parish and community,” said Reverend Matthew DeBlock, pastor, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and St. Mary, Gilberts.

The schedules for Holy Week and Easter services at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church are:

Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021 - 4:30pm (Saturday, March 27); 7:30am, 9:30am and 11:30am - St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church; and 9:00am at St. Mary, Gilberts.

Holy Thursday, April 1, 2021 - 7:00pm Mass of the Lord's Supper.

Good Friday, April 2, 2021 - 3:00pm Commemoration of the Lord's Passion; and 7:00pm Stations of the Cross. (This is a day of fast and abstinence).

Holy Saturday, April 3, 2021 - 7:30pm Easter Vigil Mass; (No 4:30pm Mass).

Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 - 7:30am in church; , 9:30am and 11:30am in the church and gym, plus live-streamed online. St. Mary Church in Gilberts will celebrate Mass in person at 9:00am and 11:00 am.

Advance sign-up is required for all Holy Week and Easter Masses. All public safety protocols will be followed including wearing of a mask at all times, social distancing, and following the directions of ushers.

St. Catherine of Siena Church is located at 845 West Main Street in West Dundee. St. Mary Church is located at Matteson Street and Galligan Road in Gilberts.
