ECC Arts Center brings Victor Wooten’s virtual workshop Nov. 13
Part of the ECC Arts Center's #MakeArtAlways Virtual Series

Five-time Grammy-winning bassist Victor Wooten returns to Elgin Community College with an expanded version of his Music Lesson Workshop on Friday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The workshops are free and will be live-streamed on the ECC Arts Center Facebook page (facebook.com/ECCArtsCenter) and YouTube channel. The workshops will only be available during the live-stream.
Wooten’s workshops are designed for both seasoned musicians and beginners. Based on concepts from his new book, The Spirit of Music: The Lesson Continues, Wooten shares with participants insights to understanding music and the threats it faces in today’s world.
Wooten, now a five-time Grammy winner, became internationally known in the early 1990s as a founding member of the super-group Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Wooten has also become widely known for his Grammy-nominated solo recordings and tours.
