ECC’s fall commencement to be held virtually Dec. 19
Commencement speeches were previously filmed separately on ECC's campus.

Elgin Community College will hold two virtual commencement ceremonies for the fall 2020 graduating class on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020. Both ceremonies will stream at youtube.com/ElginSpartans. Students are assigned to the graduation ceremony based on the credential(s) earned.
At 10 a.m., ECC will host a ceremony for university transfer degrees (associate in arts, associate in science, associate in fine arts-visual art emphasis, associate in fine arts-music performance emphasis, associate in engineering science, and associate in liberal studies).
At 2 p.m., ECC will host a ceremony for career and technical programs (associate of applied science degrees, vocational specialist certificates, and basic vocational specialist certificates).

This year’s student speakers are Kori Stoll and Ruthie Chae, both of Elgin. ECC President David Sam, Ph.D., JD, LLM, will deliver the commencement address for both ceremonies. Chair of the Board of Trustees, Donna Redmer, Ed.D., will also provide remarks during the ceremonies.
