Elgin Officer's Vision For a Police Ice Cream Cart Realized
Donations funded the police ice cream cart, which will makes its debut at Elgin's July 4th parade Wednesday morning.

ELGIN, IL – An Elgin Police Department officer's vision became a reality and now should bring a smile to many faces when it makes it's debut at Elgin's Fourth of July parade Wednesday. In a Facebook post Monday, the local police department reported that Officer Kevin Snow's police ice cream cart would be out on streets during the parade, which steps off at 9 a.m., and serving up sweet treats.
The ice cream cart was completely funded by donations from the following organizations: EPD Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, Ron Hain, Laborers International Union of North America Local 582, Geneva Construction Company, Rookie's All American Pub & Grill, Suburban Plastics Co, The Jel Sert Company, All American Auto Body, Ultra Strobe Communications, Inc, Daxam, Inc., State Farm on Grove Ave. Elgin, Hollywood Furniture, and the Parks and Recreation Foundation Board.
