FBI: Makeup-Wearing Man Who Robbed Elgin Bank Behind 4 Chicago-Area Heists
Federal investigators are working to identify a man who's now considered a "serial bank robber."
ELGIN, IL - A reward is on the table for anyone who can help identify a serial bank robber who struck an Elgin Fifth Third Bank in what police believe was his second of four heists this year.
The bandit targeted the local bank at 1645 Larkin Ave. on Feb. 3 in a "non-takeover robbery," investigators have said. He had previously hit a Fifth Third in Woodridge, according to the Chicago FBI, and has since zeroed in on Buffalo Grove and Rosemont, respectively.

Buffalo Grove police issued a community alert in conjunction with the Feds on Monday, tying the suspect to the four crimes. He reportedly enters each branch and passes a note to the teller implying he has a weapon in exchange for dough.
Surveillance photos of the offender are circulating, but police say he is a white man between 20 and 30 years old who stands anywhere from 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall. He has dark hair that he parts down the middle, and witnesses say he wears foundation makeup on his face.
