Homeschooled Elgin Student Named National Merit Semifinalist

ELGIN, IL — Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program competition include one homeschooled student from Elgin.

Matthew S. Awdisho was named among 16,000 nationwide semifinalists, which represents less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors.
