Juvenile Charged In Connection With Elgin Teen's Death
The juvenile has been charged in connection with the discharge of a firearm Saturday evening, prosectors said.
KANE COUNTY, IL — A juvenile faces charges in connection with the death of an Elgin teen, authorities said Sunday. The juvenile, whose identity is not being released, is in custody at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.
The teen died at a home in the area of St. Charles and Villa streets on Elgin's east side at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. The juvenile has been charged "in connection with the discharge of a firearm."
The death remains under investigation by the Elgin Police Department.
