Mobile Coronavirus Testing Available At Elgin Community College
Tests are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day through Sunday, according to public health officials.
ELGIN, IL — State officials are sending a mobile coronavirus testing unit to Elgin this week to bolster local testing capacities. Tests are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday at Elgin Community College, according to the Kane County Health Department.
Anyone can be tested for the coronavirus at the mobile unit, regardless of symptoms, officials said, encouraging anyone who has been recently exposed to a potential or confirmed case to get tested.

Those who want to be tested must provide a name and phone number so officials can reach them later with their test results. No photo ID is required.
Those who want to remain in their cars during the test must be seated at a functioning window, though both sites will also allow people to walk up, officials said. Test results should be available within four to seven days, officials said.

Residents can also be tested at the state’s testing site across from the Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora and many local health care facilities. Testing sites can be found here.
