Northern Illinois Wind Advisory: Watch Out For Gusts
High winds and strong gusts could cause some damage Monday afternoon, lasting through the night.

ILLINOIS — The Northeastern Illinois area is under a wind advisory from the National Weather Service, lasting from Monday afternoon through the evening. The affected area will stretch from central northern Illinois, east to Lake Michigan and south covering Chicago and surrounding areas.
Starting 3 p.m. Monday, lasting through 6 a.m. Tuesday, these areas are expected to experience heavy winds and gusts up to 50 mph. This may make driving difficult especially if you have a high-profile vehicle.
The National Weather Service warned that the heavy gusts could make tall vehicles unstable. Small branches can be broken off trees by the gusts and loose items outdoors can be blown away.
