Pop-Up Pantry To Feed 1,500 Families Saturday In Elgin

ELGIN, IL — Residents who need groceries can stop by Elgin Community College on Saturday morning to pick up meals from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The organization, which supplies more than 900 pantries across 13 counties, is set to host a pop-up pantry from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at 1700 Spartan Dr. Anyone who needs help getting groceries is encouraged to show up, and no ID or referrals are necessary.

Virtual ‘Foodie 5K’ To Help Northern IL Food Bank Feed Thousands

The Northern Illinois Food Bank expects to provide free groceries for about 1,500 families at Saturday’s drive-thru distribution event.
