Twin Brothers Hit By Vehicle While Skateboarding

The teens are in serious condition at an area hospital following the collision Monday evening near Elgin.

KANE COUNTY,IL — Twin brothers are in serious condition after a vehicle hit them while they were skateboarding in rural Kane County Monday evening, authorities said.

The vehicle struck both boys, who are 14 years old and from Pingree Grove, at about 5:30 p.m. in the 39W200 block of Highland Avenue in unincorporated Elgin. The teens were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where they are listed in serious condition, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to another area hospital.
