3 Restaurants Coming To Elmhurst
Breakfast, American and Asian food are among the offerings.
ELMHURST, IL — Three new dining options are coming to Elmhurst. Here are the details:
- Ming Chef Asian Cuisine is expected to open this fall at 233 N. York St., the former building for Rainbow Restaurant. According to Explore Elmhurst's Facebook page, Ming Chef will offer Pan Asian cuisines and an extensive specialty drink menu.
- Waffle Iron is expected to open on Halloween in Brewpoint Coffee Founders Cafe, 124 W. Park. Ave., according to the city. It may have a "soft launch" before then. According to its Facebook page, the restaurant will feature "Chef Matt's homemade Southern fried chicken strip, bread and butter pickles with our house-made jalapeño whiskey maple syrup." Brewpoint's Facebook page said Waffle Iron will offer savory and sweet options, as well as gluten-free varieties. Menu items include banana foster waffle, peanut butter blast, cocoa pebbles waffle and chicken cordon bleu waffle.
- Uptown Eatery is expected to open at 117 N. Addison Ave. in the old Pizza Palace. The restaurant was among new businesses mentioned at Monday's City Council meeting. "The menu will feature unique burgers, sandwich options, salads and a fresh take on appetizers," said Erin Jason, the city's business development coordinator. "They hope to open before the holiday season."
