71-Year-Old Woman Charged With Attempted Shoplifting: Elmhurst Police
She tried to steal several items from Kohl's last week.
A 71-year-old woman was arrested in Elmhurst last week when she tried to shoplift from Kohl's.
The Kohl's that Hoa Thi Diep visited around 3 p.m. Jan. 6 is located at 303 S. Route 83. Retail theft isn't uncommon at this location — it's showed up frequently on Elmhurst police blotters for the past several months.
According to police reports, Diep took several unspecified items from around the store and was caught removing their tags and trying to hide them on her person. She didn't make it past the last point of sale.

Diep, who's from Wheaton, was charged onsite for attempted retail theft and released on bond.
