She wasn't hurt, but her car was.

One ex-boyfriend was arrested in Elmhurst late Sunday for the violent way he dealt with a breakup.

Edward Cleveland, a 47-year-old Maywood man, reportedly both verbally and physically abused his ex after she broke up with him this past weekend, according to Elmhurst police reports.

The woman told police that the morning after she broke up with Cleveland, he showed up as she pulled into her workplace at 400 W. Butterfield Rd. Cleveland allegedly yelled at and threatened his ex before picking up a piece of loose asphalt and throwing it at the passenger side of her four-door Chevrolet Impala, causing damage to the car.
