Another Guac N Tacos In Elmhurst

ELMHURST, IL — Guac N Tacos is opening its second restaurant in Elmhurst on Friday. It owns two others in Western Springs and Downers Grove. The new restaurant will be at 522 W. North Ave. in Elmhurst.

Recently, Elmhurst Patch asked readers what types of businesses they would like to see in town. Quite a few responded with ideas about different types of Mexican restaurants.

The other Guac N Tacos in Elmhurst is at 116 S. York St. Some on Facebook feared that restaurant would close, but it's staying open.

"The mole taco cravings have been unreal," one woman said. "We honestly though they closed the York one and were reopening the new one. I tried making them at home because I'm pregnant and kept craving specifically theirs, but there's definitely no comparison."

Another woman wrote, "Love their fish tacos! Hope they do well on North!"

Guac N Tacos is seeing growth as of late. It opened its Western Springs restaurant in November.

The owners are Elmhurst residents Yerika and Alex Fuentes. A profile about Yerika on the chain's website says, "Opening a local Mexican restaurant in her hometown has been a truly wonderful and unexpectedly pleasant experience."

Like the other restaurants, the new one is set to be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. The new restaurant can be reached at 630-359-3155.
