ELMHURST, IL — The number of coronavirus patients in Elmhurst Hospital has been in the single digits every day since June 1.

This information comes from the daily reports issued by the hospital to the media, something its spokesman, Keith Hartenberger, has done throughout much of the pandemic.

But on Wednesday, he said the hospital was issuing its last daily report, another sign of the fading pandemic. From now on, he said, the hospital would email reports every Wednesday. He said the information would be made available on request on other days.
